These pet beds, throws or rugs have no cloth backing. Sizes vary, but a single pelt is between 7 and 8 cubic feet, which is roughly 22 inches by 40 inches.

SHEEPSKIN BRUSH:
Care and Cleaning sheepskins: Wool is a springy fiber, but after long use, it can mat down and need a brushing. To restore the pile, brush it up with a course brush. Wire slicker brushes work best and don't harm the fleece. They resemble a wire pet brush. We sell these brushes on this page. A good shaking will help a great dealt to loosen dirt and restore the fleece as well. Sheepskin is a natural fiber, it's own lanolin content helps it to stay clean. Spot cleaning in place with a bit of warm water and gentle soap as described below, is all you will need. Never use harsh detergents or heat to dry a sheepskin. It is a leather product and will be permanently damaged.
To wash: Hand or machine wash on a GENTLE cycle in COLD water, using a mild soap that is either specific for sheepskin or use baby shampoo. Rinse thoroughly also with COLD water and gently remove the excess water. Dry naturally away from direct heat or sun. Stretch the skin during the drying process to prevent shrinkage. When it is completely dry, brush up the fleece with a course brush to restore.
